ABOUT THE ARTIST: Rodney White’s square wooden panels are carefully layered with faded graphic text, like outdoor advertisements forgotten and decaying in the elements. Real rust creeps its way over layers of acrylic paint and scraps of metal like red moss. “It’s an actual rusting process,” White says. “It adds a little more authenticity to the piece. The rusting technique … makes it very authentic.”
